Empowering the community to make informed safe sleep decisions for infants in their care

Educate • Inform • Support

Why is safe sleep so important?

Since the inception of safe infant sleeping guidelines in the early 1990s, the incidence of Sudden Unexpected Deaths in Infancy (SUDI) has reduced by 85%, saving thousands of babies’ lives. Vigilance is still required to maintain this reduction in the number of babies dying from SIDS and fatal sleeping accidents so continued education and training is vitally important.

RED TREE FOUNDATION

helping parents to live after loss

After the death of a child parents need to learn to live again in a world that does not include their child. Parents have to adjust to a new normal and this can take time and support. At Red Tree Foundation we walk beside parents to provide support and the tools to navigate this new normal. Red Tree clients become part of the Red Tree family and as such we can provide care, hope and understanding as families start to rebuild their lives.
